At ADHD Skills, we believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, understood and supported whether that is in work, relationships or friendships. Sometimes ADHD gets in the way of those goals. Our founder, Kate, started this business to help people feel seen, understood and accepted and provides personalised coaching and support to help clients manage their lives and personal struggles in a safe, non-judgemental space.
Having been diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 59 and having lived a life full of misunderstanding, struggles (and successes!), Kate wanted to help others to live their best life by becoming a coach who specialises in ADHD. Kate is a qualified coach and has undertaken additional specialist training to support people with ADHD through ADHD Works.
Every journey starts with a free no obligation 30 minute consultation. We know it's really important to find the right coach for your personality and goals so this introductory session really helps to put the client in the driving seat.
If the client decides they want to continue with ADHD Skills then a contract is developed to make sure both the client and the coach are clear on the expectations of each other.
For many clients the challenges presented by having ADHD include those relating to 'executive functioning'. These skills can be developmentally delayed by up to 30% in people with ADHD. These relate to things like:
The coaching process works to help the client understand themselves and the challenges they may face in these specific areas and developing strategies to manage these.
